Sclerotherapy

How it Works

is a non-surgical medical procedure used to treat spider veins and small varicose veins, most commonly in the legs. It involves injecting a special sclerosing solution directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse, seal shut, and eventually fade from view as the body absorbs them. The injected solution (commonly saline or a detergent-based sclerosant) irritates the inner lining of the vein, triggering inflammation and clotting within the vein. Over time, the treated vein is replaced by scar tissue and becomes invisible on the skin surface. Sclerotherapy is safe for most people, but may not be suitable during pregnancy or for those

with certain circulation issues.
